Underwater Mural at the Arvest Convention Center, Tulsa
Created in collaboration with the Oklahoma Aquarium
Created in collaboration with the Oklahoma Aquarium
I worked with the Oklahoma Aquarium to design this immersive mural installation for the Arvest Convention Center’s lobby—nicknamed the “Fish Bowl.” The goal was to give visitors the sensation of stepping into an aquarium and to introduce them to the incredible biodiversity on display at the Oklahoma Aquarium just a few miles away.
The mural surrounds guests with large-scale illustrations of sharks, rays, jellyfish, and other aquatic life, transforming the lobby into a vibrant underwater world. In addition to making a bold visual statement, the mural helps build awareness of the aquarium’s mission and encourages exploration of its 10,000+ animals.

In collaboration with 106 Group
I was commissioned by 106 Group to illustrate a large-scale mural for the newly revitalized Dr. Susan La Flesche Picotte Center in Walthill, Nebraska. This piece features a sweeping prairie scene with a herd of bison set among native grasses and wildflowers—honoring the center’s setting and the legacy of Dr. Picotte, the first Native American physician in the U.S. The mural serves as a serene and symbolic gateway, grounding the exhibit in both place and culture. The hospital building itself has been restored as a cultural and community hub with museum spaces and programming celebrating Umoⁿhoⁿ heritage and Dr. Picotte’s pioneering contributions

Wintrust Mural – Shedd Aquarium
This massive mural spans the side of the historic Wintrust Arena near Chicago’s lakefront and was commissioned by Shedd Aquarium to celebrate the biodiversity of our local waterways. The design highlights species from the Great Lakes and Mississippi River basin — from tiny invertebrates to large freshwater fish — with a swirling visual flow that evokes both movement and connectivity. I worked closely with Shedd’s team to ensure accuracy while crafting a dramatic, high-impact illustration style for a city-scale mural. The final piece serves as a striking visual invitation to explore aquatic life just below the surface.

Shedd Aquarium Lobby Murals
I was commissioned to illustrate stylized murals for Shedd Aquarium’s updated lobby and entrance hallway as part of their Centennial Commitment renovation. The ramp murals feature marine life from the Abbott Oceanarium and Polar Play Zone, while lobby artwork celebrates Lake Michigan ecosystems. I worked within a limited color palette to complement the tile flooring and mirror its fluid patterns. Collaborating with Shedd was seamless and creatively rewarding.

Monsoon Mural for Echoes of Earth – Music & Nature Festival, Goa, India
In collaboration with Echoes of Earth and the World Wildlife Fund, I was commissioned to create a large-scale mural for the 2023 festival in India, themed around the monsoon and its impact on local ecosystems. The artwork was intended for use in festival marketing and as a full-sized mural at the venue. Although the event was ultimately canceled, I completed the artwork and mocked up how it might have appeared in situ.
The challenge was to depict an incredible range of species—from massive orcas to tiny beetles—within a single cohesive visual story. I divided the piece into atmospheric environments shaped by the monsoon, from lush forests to flooded wetlands. To ensure even the smallest creatures had their place, I framed the mural with a decorative border inspired by the traditional red clay architecture of Goa. This added a cultural layer that ties the art back to the people and the land.

Kelp Forest Discovery Caves Mural – Oklahoma Aquarium
I created this large-scale kelp forest mural for the Oklahoma Aquarium to enhance the atmosphere above their live kelp forest tank. Designed entirely in Adobe Illustrator, the mural wraps around the exhibit to immerse guests in the underwater environment.
The artwork features species that are actually housed in the exhibit below, including leopard sharks, garibaldi, sheephead, and opaleye fish. The goal was to extend the habitat visually above the tank, blending seamlessly with the lighting and architecture to give the impression of being surrounded by swaying kelp and Pacific marine life.
This mural reinforces the exhibit’s educational purpose by helping guests connect the illustrated species with their real-life counterparts in the tank—turning the space into an immersive learning environment.

Marvels & Mysteries + Amazing Invertebrates — Oklahoma Aquarium
I created a series of large-scale educational illustrations for Oklahoma Aquarium’s Marvels & Mysteries and Amazing Invertebrates galleries. These bold, wall-mounted graphics highlight fascinating animal behaviors—like how spiny lobsters use long antennae to fend off predators, or how giant freshwater prawns wield oversized blue claws to defend their turf.
Each piece was designed to complement live exhibits and engage guests with eye-catching visuals and scientific storytelling.

Santa Ana Freeway Mural — I-5 & SR-55
Commissioned by the City of Santa Ana and Caltrans, I was hired to design a gateway mural at the I-5/SR-55 interchange welcoming visitors to the city. My concept reimagined the Santa Ana city logo, with a sunburst rising beneath the freeway off-ramp and a silhouetted city skyline along the retaining wall.
This large-scale public artwork turns a high-traffic corridor into a bold visual landmark rooted in civic identity.

This concept was part of my original proposal for the Santa Ana freeway mural project. Inspired by the offramp’s proximity to the Santa Ana Zoo, I illustrated a spider monkey and two parrots—honoring both the zoo’s primate collection and the city’s iconic wild parrot flocks.

As part of my freeway mural proposal for Santa Ana, I designed a series of laser-cut steel panels inspired by papel picado—a traditional paper-cutting art form common to both Latin and Asian cultures.
Each vibrant panel highlights a different cultural landmark: the Santa Ana Water Tower, Old Orange County Courthouse, OC Streetcar, Santa Ana Zoo, and Vietnamese Tet Festival. This design celebrated the city’s diverse heritage through bold color, clean silhouettes, and a shared visual language of celebration.

Santa Ana Zoo Animal Fence Silhouettes
As part of a public art initiative near the Santa Ana Zoo, I designed a series of colorful steel animal silhouettes for the Caltrans parking area. Each animal—depicted in playful, bold colors—is shown facing the zoo as if in motion, creating a sense of energy and welcome for visitors driving by. The silhouettes include monkeys, anteaters, gibbons, and more, all based on animals that call the zoo home.
